Police in the northeastern city of Trieste on Friday impounded an apartment full of marijuana 'greenhouses'. Two Italians had turned the flat into ''a plantation'', police said, with arc lights, watering systems and other sophisticated equipment to keep the plants at the right temperature and humidity. ''We found four greenhouses in all, one in a corridor, two in the lounge and the fourth in a closet in the bedroom,'' they said. In all, the apartment contained 70 plants as well as three kilogrammes of freshly cropped marijuana and a 2kg pack of dried leaves in a freezer. The two men were arrested.
